E-VoA available for cruising in Superyachts to Andamans
For those who are planning to cruise on Andaman Islands can now get Visa-on-Arrival (VoA) facility, which is available at nine airports in India.
The Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) is accepted only at the international airports of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Goa. Rathnam, Andamans’APS, approves the Chennai and New Delhi airports for those flying to catch their arriving superyacht at Port Blair.
To avail this scheme, the visitors need to apply online at least four days before leaving for India. The tourist can take a print of a copy of the authorisation and need to take it directly to the immigration authorities. There are some more restrictions like the e-vise is valid for 30 days and can be obtained twice a year.
Unlike the other visa procedure, visitors will not have to wait for a long time before re-applying for another visa under the ETA system. Though it is called Visa-on-Arrival, but the visitors have to apply for the new visa online before travelling to India. Once the payment is done online and the visa is issued, tourists can keep a printout of the visa and later show it at the immigration office in India.
