Knicks, Nets NBA Games in New York Postponed as Storm Approaches
National Basketball Association games scheduled for tonight in New York have been postponed because of expected severe weather conditions.
The Sacramento Kings at New York Knicks game has been rescheduled for at 7 p.m. March 3 at Madison Square Garden (MSG:US), while the Portland Trailblazers at Brooklyn Nets game has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. April 6 at the Barclays Center, the NBA said.
As much as 24 inches of snow may fall in New York, while Boston and eastern New England may see 36 inches, the National Weather Service said. Philadelphia could get 8 inches.
Thousands of flights have been canceled and commuter rail service around New York City will close tonight. Northeast governors and mayors have told people to prepare for the storm and stay off the roads.
