Bear River State Park near Evanston, Wyoming, has welcomed a rare “1 in 10 million” bison calf, according to park authorities.
At a Wyoming state park, a rare white bison calf was born, according to officials. At Bear River State Park, close to Evanston, a 2-year-old white bison gave birth to the calf, park authorities announced on Facebook on May 16. The birth of a white bison is typically a “1 in 10 million” event, according to the National Bison Association, who spoke to KUTV. According to park officials, it wasn’t totally random in this instance.
